I wish to extend my deepest sympathy on the death of Georgie Hodgins. I was a student in her Grade 11 English class - in the era of Bill Hunter (as head of English) and Bessie Johnston, (who also taught Drama). Her classes were lively and she was always able to keep everyone's attention. Had I know she was in St. Lawrence Lodge, I would have visited her on my occasional visits back to Brockville. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

About 25 years ago I was fortunate to bump into Mrs. Hodgins at a Gala Ball in Brockville.
To my delight I was able to tell her in person what a monumental gift she had given me as a student in Grade 13 at Brockville Collegiate. She inspired me to love school and
I ended up at Queen's University. For a moment we were both teary eyed.
I wish that when you are overcome with waves of sadness at the loss of your mother, grandmother & friend you will be overjoyed at the privilege of having had her in your life.
What a fabulous lady !
My condolences for your loss,
Sincerely
Gabrielle Eckhardt Rohrich

Dear Melinda
My sincere condolences for the loss of your dear mom. Her obituary certainly tells the story of a life well lived. A heartbreaking loss when a parent leaves us.
Thinking of you and your family.

Dear Family of Mrs Hodgins. I am a former student of Mrs. Hodgins. I remember her fondly. She was probably one of the most wonderful teachers I had in my life as a student. She was kind and compassionate and left no one behind. She had a wit about her, and I am proud to have known her. She helped to sculpt many a young student into the fine individuals whom we have become. My sincerest condolences. May she rest in peace.
