Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday December 17, 2009. at the age of 69 years. Survived by his wife Diane (Frizell) and children Blair (Carol Hales) and Brooke (Steven Cote) Also survived by sisters Cora Besley, Jenny Bender, Alma Besley, Marjorie Slack (Elwood), Margaret Rusland, Lorna VanderKloet (Joe Weeks), Gwen Read (Tom), brother Ted Chisholm and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alexander and Annabel (Dickson) Besley, a brother Reginald Besley and sisters Marion Wright, Serena Coon and Shirley Halliday. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Saturday December 19, 2009 from 1p.m. until 4 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 4 p.m. Interment will be at a later date.
