Longtime resident of Sherwood Park Manor passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 23, 2010. Ira was the first born son March 28, 1920 of the late Mary Agnes Brown and Albert Ira Munro. Predeceased by an infant daughter Debbie, grandson Andrew Heaton and two brothers Ed and Bert. Loving husband of 64 years of Lesley Doris (Wilson) who survives. Also surviving are children Wendy (Bill) (Church), Chris (Charles) Toupin, Lesley (Laurie) Dunning, Janey (Brian) Gilroy, Tom (Wanda) and Peter (Victoria). Brother of Bill, Bob, (Rev) Mary Gordon and Margaret Cross. Ira was a longtime employee of Canada Post as a much loved letter carrier. At the request of Ira there will be no visitation. The immediate family will have a private burial at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
