Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site, on Tuesday August 10, 2010. Lucy Elizabeth (Strickland) McLean of Maitland age 87 years. Survived by her common law husband Anton (Tony) Steenbergen, wife of the late Lloyd McLean and Nelson Leach. Loving mother of Shirley Dyks, (John), Karen Sink (Bill), Bill Leach (Lois), Lucy Maichen (Bob), John Leach (Donna), Tom Leach (Valda), Stan Leach (Carrie) and Violet Chase. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as a brother John Strickland and sisters Shirley Bartell, Suzie Pignatiellio, Violet Zanchi and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Sarah (Frost) Strickland and children Nelson, Jim and twins Milton and Marion. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East Brockville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Friday August 13, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. when the Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel.
