Peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital, on Thursday December 30, 2010. William Howard Candlish of Kingston, (formerly of Brockville) age 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Esther (Jones) Candlish. Cherished father of Peter William Candlish (Jane) of Kingston and Barbara Lynne Candlish (Peter Hoogendam) of Brockville. Loving grandfather of Barbara, Jack, and Michael. Brother of Ralph Candlish (Ethel) of Oakville and Jack Candlish of Comox BC. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Cherished “Howard Dad” to Jan and Steve Hall of Brockville. Pre-deceased by his parents William James Candlish and his wife Lucy Evelyn (Murphy) Candlish. At the request of Mr. Candlish there will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Howard’s Life will take place January 8, 2011 at The Mill Restaurant, 123 Water Street West, Brockville from 4 until 6 p.m. Interment Oakland Cemetery at a later date. In memoriams to Juvenile Diabetes would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
