Merlin Russell Badger of R.R.#2 Brockville (formerly of Sherbrooke QC) age 91 years. Beloved husband of the late Lena (Woodward) Badger. Loving father of Maureen Seabrook (Ronald), Debbie Connell all of R.R.#2 Brockville and Brenda Gandier (Dave d’Entremont) of Orangeville. Cherished poppy of Lori deJong (Phil), Sara deJong (Stuart) all of Greenbush, Chris Gandier (Andrea) of Orangeville, Nicholas Gandier of New Market, Jennipher Gandier Of Orangeville, Darrell Connell (Christina) of Brockville and Lee-Anne Connell of Ottawa. Great-grandfather of Claire, Spencer, Carson, Samantha and Mya. Survived by 2 sisters Harriet Whitingstall of Richmond QC, Kathleen Taylor of Sherbrooke QC and several nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by siblings Lorna Smith, Roy Badger, James Badger, Adam Badger and Garth Badger. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday August 25, 2011 in the Chapel at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Maynard Cemetery.
