It is with sorrow and love that the family of Ralph Lynds announces his peaceful passing on Monday September 5, 2011 at Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville; surrounded by his family and friends at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Jeanne Lynds (Lamothe). Loving father of Diane Murtha (Philip), Barbara Lynds (Rodger Martin) and Sara Lynds. Proud grandpa of Naythan, Christopher, Austen and Caleb. Greatly missed by sister Margaret Fownes (predeceased Donald Fownes). Lovingly remembered, cherished and respected by his nieces and nephews (predeceased Sandy Fownes). Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Annie (White) Lynds. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Donna Worden, Joan & Rob Milliken, Vicki Corfe and the staff at Sherwood Park Manor in our time of need. Ralph graduated from Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University with his Bachelor of Commerce. Ralph worked for Canada Catering Company Ltd. for 42 years. Ralph gave of his expertise and time with the Brockville and District Association for Community Involvement for numerous years. A quiet, gentle man who is greatly admired and will be sadly missed. Family and friends will be received at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Saturday September 10, 2011 from 11 a.m. – 12 noon. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
