John (Jack) Frederick Wright age 85 years, passed away on Thursday February 9th. 2012 at the St. Lawrence Lodge in Brockville. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Vivien, son Barry (Maureen) of Kingston, daughters Linda and Ruth of Revelstoke, B.C. and his sister Vivian (Georges) of Cornwall. He is also fondly remembered by Kathryn Lambe (Robert) of Oakville, Jeremy Ibson of St. John’s NL., and his grandchildren Chris (Nicole), Kerry, Sarah and Olivia. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. He was born in St. Lambert, Quebec, spent most of his career at the Whig Standard in Kingston and retired to Brockville in 1991. Jack was an avid golfer, loved skiing and always had the shiniest car in the neighbourhood. He was a true gentlemen and everyone who knew him thought he was so kind. At the request of Mr. Wright there will be no service or visitation. A reception will be held at the Brockville Country Club on Tuesday February 14th. From 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the Mary Jane Hawkins Foundation at St. Lawrence Lodge.
