Peacefully, at her residence on Tuesday March 3, 2009. Muriel Irene (Hitchcock) Burns of Brockville age 79 years. Beloved wife of the late James (Jim) Burns. Dear mother of Dave Burns and his wife Melanie of North Augusta, Miriam McInnes of Brockville and the late Arthur (Art) Burns. Loving grandmother of Emily Goodknecht (David), Natalie Burns, Joel McInnes, Luke McInnes and Caitlin Greenham. Also survived by her brother-in-law Major (Ret.) Robert Burns and his wife Theda of Brockville and their son Stephen Burns and his wife Shefali and their children Christopher and Amanda. As well as cousins Trudy and Shirley Hornick, an aunt Rachael Kinch and her children Wendell Kinch (Jean) and Louise Wells (Jimmy). Predeceased by her parents H. Eldon Hitchcock and his wife ClaraM. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday March 6, 2009 at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
