Entered into rest with family by her side at Sherwood Park Manor, Brockville on Friday April 19th, 2013. The former Katie Elizabeth Barton aged 100 years. Beloved wife of the late William Ian Stewart. Loving mother of Arner Stewart (France) of Kemptville, Rodger Stewart (Marion) of Kingston and Marlene Aikens (Paul) of New Market. Cherished grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 11. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Donald Stewart, her parents Philander W. and Edith (Young) Barton, brothers Herbert, Wilfred, Howard, Lorne and Bill Barton and sisters Carrie Simpson, Blanche Paver, Dora Rowsome and Eunice Wager. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday April24th, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
