Predeceased by his wife the former Frederika Vandenham. Dear father of Wilma Holmes (John) of Oshawa, Harold Bruins (Donna) of British Columbia and John Wilfred “Bill” Bruins (Debbie) of Johnstown. Opa to 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jan Willem and Wilhelmina Johanna (Vierdag) Bruins. Family will receive friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East, Brockville, on Friday from 2 -4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday April 27, 2013 at 2:00p.m. Family and friends may also call at the James H. Sutton Funeral Home, Amherstburg on Monday April 29, from 11-1pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 1p.m. Interment will then be at Rosehill Cemetery.
