COTIE, Bernice “Bea” Verna (retired teacher Brockville Public Schools and Leeds & Grenville County Board of Education) Entered into rest peacefully, at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site, on Thursday May 30th, 2013, Bernice (Whittle) Cotie of Elizabethtown. Beloved wife and dear friend of 53 years to the late David Cotie. Loving mother of John Cotie (Tammy) of Brockville and James Cotie (Karen) of Elizabethtown. Cherished grandmother of Harper, Emerson, Jade and Evan. Lovingly remembered as “Aunt Bea” to Phillip, Tana, Tyla and Haley Gilbert. Dear sister of Luella Charbot of Iroquois, Kate Runions of Kitchener, Barbara Graham (Grant) of Cornwall and Lynne Jones (Winston) of Brockville, and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Also survived by dear friends Doug (Judy), Don and Brenda Beattie, and their families. Predeceased by her parents Richard and Martha (Roberts) Whittle. Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday June 6th, 2013 at 11:00 am.
