Entered into rest with family by his side, at the Brockville General Hospital on Friday, September 27, 2013. Gordon Alexander Ring of Brockville age 77 years. Beloved husband of the late Rita Theresa Marie (Godin) Ring, dear father of Leisa Price-Storey (Andrew Storey), Donald Ring (Trish VanDyk) and Terri Northrup (John Picton) all of Brockville. Loving grandfather of Dayna Beebe, Alyssa and Lyndsay Price, Danielle Storey, Ryan Northrup, Colby Picton and great grandfather of Lincoln and Charlie Beebe. Alex is survived by his brother Delbert Ring of Brockville, his sisters Blanche Flood (Ken) of Tweed and Berna Hales (Brian) of Penetanguishene as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He is predeceased by his parents Forbes and Marion (Kingsbury) Ring and a brother Robert Ring. Family and friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Wednesday October 2, 2013 from 2 – 4:45 p.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 5 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Alex, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
