HEMPEL, Uwe Jurgen Max After a brief illness, entered into rest, in Brockville, on Saturday August 24th, 2013. Uwe Hempel aged 77 years was born in Berlin Germany, 13 June 1936. Beloved partner of Fred Vickery. Mourned by his brother Klaus Hempel (Margaret) of Mississauga. Loved brother-in-law of Dorothy Ferguson, Phyllis Dunster, Freda Cross (Ivan) and Frances Halfpenny (Wayne). Also survived by several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents Max and Charlotte Hempel, brother Kurt Hempel and sisters Eva Kovacs and Ingrid Hempel. Family and friends will be received at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Friday August 30th, 2013 from 1 to 2 pm. Interment Lyn Cemetery. In memory of Uwe, donations to the Brockville District Hospital Foundation, Palliative Care Program would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
