Peacefully entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site on Monday August 5th, 2013. The former Edna Ella Pearl Warner of Brockville aged 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Douglas “Doug” Lavery. Loving mother of Wendy Wiltshire (Gary) of Newcastle, Susan Armstrong and Linda Crowder (George) both of Cardinal, Jean Francis (Colin), June Lavery and Sharon Steacy all of Brockville. Mrs. Lavery is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister Ruby Warner of Kitchener as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James and Annis (Topping) Warner, siblings Eva Chaffe, Helen Hopkins, William Warner and sons-in-law Morris Armstrong and Terry Steacy. By the request of Mrs. Lavery, a Private Family Service will be held at the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville. Interment will be at Read’s Cemetery. In memory of Mrs. Lavery, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Wildlife Federation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
