Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on August 5th. 2004.. The former Alice Doreen Cole of Brockville age 78 years. Beloved wife of Elmer Bertrend. Dear Mother of Caroline Doucette of Kingston, William Bertrend (Monique) of Brockville, Albert Bertrend (Mary) of Tincap, Crystal Letts (Terry) of Johnstown, Mary Limbeck and Dale Bertrend (Donna) all of Brockville. Survived by 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Sister of Gladys Brontmire of Brockville, Grace Salmon of North Augusta, Jennie McNish (Harold) of Lyn, Lila Leonard of Maynard. Also survived by a brother-in-law Jim Kulke of Toronto as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Bonnie Young, a son Terry Bertrend, a sister Doris Kulke, a brother Stan Cole and in-laws Irvine Salmon, Bert Leonard and Thelma Cole. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street, East, Brockville on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 9th. 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel.
