Obituary of Jean Culp

Jean Lois Culp passed away quietly at St. Lawrence Lodge on Friday August 20, 2004. Born in Westport January 18, 1922, she moved to moved to Brockville at an early age with her parents and brother, Albert Isaac Culp, Hazel May Hollister, and Donald Culp. She attended Prince of Wales School, Brockville Collegiate and later Queen's University. She worked for Phillips Cables for several years and as Managerial Secretary for the Universal Abraives for over 30 years. She enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying much sucess as Ontario Tennis Champion, avid canoeist, sailor, skier, cyclist, world traveller and multi-linguist. She gave much of her time volunteering for many worthwhile organizations. she was in constant neverending pursuit of higher learning. Her entrie life centered around her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Albert Culp and Hazel Hollister, brother Donald Culp, sister in law Norma Paul Culp and nephew Donald Paul Culp. Beloved and Cherished Aunt of Peter Culp (Patricia Keeling), Islay Culp-Hayter, Annie Culp (Ellery Edgeley), Kara Culp; and Great Aunt of Danielle and Alexis Culp, Kyrie Hayter, Natham Wenman all of Brockvilleand and Kelly Culp (Sheila Norman) of New Jersey. She holds a special place in all of our hearts and will be forever remembered by family and freinds as a remarkable Aunt and Loyal Friend. At her request, there will be no Funeral. A Family Celebration will be held at a later date. In her memory donations may be made to Brockville General and Hospice of Providence Palliative Care. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the Barclay Funeral Home 137 Pearl St. East, Brockville.
