Peacefully on November 6, 2004 at the Brockville General Hospital in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late James Malcolm McAvity. She is survived by her daughter Virgina Heward (Chil) and her son Ian. Remembered by her loving grandchildren Jamie (Brigitte), Geoffrey (Joanne) and Trish (Douglas Easton) and six great grandchildren Cassandra, Willa, Michael, Charlotte, Geoffrey and Brian. Also Bessie will be remembered with great fondness. Maggie was born and educated in Toronto, she attended B.S.S.. Many friends including all of her relatives benefited from Maggie's warmth, great sense of humour and generosity which she expressed on numerous tangible and intangible ways. In later years, she hugely missed her summers at Pointe Au Baril in Georgian Bay and her winters in Naples, Florida. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at the I.C.U. at the Brockville General Hospital, especially Caroline, as well as the staff at Sherwood Park Manor. As an expression of sympathy, friends may wish to send donations in Maggie's memory to the Brockville General Hospital Foundation. A private family Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Brockville. A Memorial Service will take place "sometime next Spring " for family and friends.
