Entered into rest at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday February 24th, 2005. Van (James) McCready of Lansdowne aged 64 years. Beloved husband of the former Evangeline Kelsey. Dear father of Martin McCready (Debbie) of Battersea and Liz Russell (Jodey) of Lansdowne. Grandfather of Christopher and Michael McCready and Travis and Kesley Russell. Brother of Donna Bodner, Marilyn Carew (Elmer), Linda Shorey, Virginia Chartier (Bill), Lynn Roberts (Bill) and Sandy MacDonald (Parker). Van is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by by his parents Robert and Vera McCready as well as a brother Guy McCready and brother in laws Roy Bodner and Bill Shorey. Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, Lansdowne on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The celebration of Van's life will be held on Monday February 28th, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Athens Free Methodist Church. Interment will be at a later date. In memoriams to the Lung Association or the Athens Free Methodist Church Building Fund would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
