Peacefully with her family by her side on Friday August 11, 2006 at the Kingston General Hospital. Nellie Mackie of Lansdowne aged 85 years. Beloved daughter of the late Dr. James Mackie and his wife Mary Ellen Whelan Mackie. Dear aunt of James Morrison of Brockville, Robert Morrison and his wife Judy of RR# 3 Yarker and Mary Ellen Bouthoorn and her husband Piet of RR# 1 Belmont. Also survived by several great nieces and great nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Jim Mackie and a sister MaryLou Morrison, a nephew Mackie Morrison and a niece Cheryl Faith Morrison. At Nellie's request there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will be in Union Cemetery, Lansdowne at a later date. In memoriams to the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to animals would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
