My worst fear confirmed. We talked, texted and messaged through social media and this beautiful soul was an absolute joy in the short time I’d known her. I’m so terribly sorry for the loss and hope I can add proof to her legacy of being such a beautiful human being who’s insight I valued tremendously. Miss her talks and insights terribly.

Dear Virginia,
I met you back in September 2017 at the Rideau Valley Diabetes Clinic in Brockville, Ontario. You were a significant person, a mentor, who inspired me in community health nursing. I am so privileged to have learned from a wonderful, smart, and passionate clinical nursing preceptor.
I was really worried when you started becoming ill toward the end of the clinical placement. Here is an example of how much you care about others before yourself. You were stubborn, told me everything was going to be okay, and still you came into the office, when you were clearly ill, to complete my final evaluation with my faculty advisor of the nursing school. By the end of this meeting I told you needed to go home and rest, as you were still clearly ill. Little did I know at the time these were going to be some of my last few words I speak to you.
The relationship you and I shared will always be something to remember, and I thank-you for that! You were always a pleasant person. Your smile and laughter always filled the room with vibrant energy that spreads to the souls of others. You were an wonderful nurse, but more importantly an all around incredible person! You contributed to my growth and development, further you refined my skills as I enter into the nursing career. I learned so much from you! I am very privileged to have known you, even though it was for a little while, these memories will always cherrished!
To the Family and Friends,
I mourne the loss of Virginia Wilson, my deepest condolences to you all who feel the same. She was such a wonderful mentor, teacher, friend, and colleague. Again, I am privileged to have known Virginia for a little while. The best thing I liked avout Virginia is her laughter. I am glad I got to have a few, well quite of few, laughs with her! Virginia inspired me to use what she taught me to help others improve their health. She also taught me that laughter is the best medicine.
Sincerely,
Caleb J. Keller
